You’re my man, my mighty king,
And I’m the jewel in your crown,
You’re the sun so hot and bright,
I’m your light-rays shining down,
You’re the sky so vast and blue,
And I’m the white clouds in your chest,
I’m a river clean and pure,
Who in your ocean finds her rest,
You’re the mountain huge and high,
I’m the valley green and wide,
You’re the body firm and strong,
And I’m a rib bone on your side,
You’re an eagle flying high,
I’m your feathers light and brown,
You’re my man, my king of kings,
And I’m the jewel in your crown
My emotions are too intense to describe;
I could never explain the way I feel,
I’ve forgotten how to breathe as he takes my hand,
And before me, begins to kneel.
I gaze into his hopeful eyes
And feel his gentle grasp,
Time was held still all around,
Yet an eternity seemed to elapse.
Although he barely whispered the words,
In a delicate, loving voice,
They landed on my ears like a thunderstorm,
That ceases to await my choice.
I hated putting you in suspense,
But I lost ability to speak,
My heart had stopped altogether,
A tear rolled down my cheek.
I reached out and caressed his lovely face,
My decision I’d never second-guess,
Loving him so much it hurt,
I uttered my fateful, “Yes.”
Her poise so graceful
-a flower untouched;
Like a lotus in muddy water
Her presence felt so distinct
Her glances so bewitching
To melt the hardest of hearts;
Yet like the Goddess of Love
No human could ever touch
Her love spriteful yet encompassing
To touch the wiliest of hearts;
Like the coolness of the full moon
Her nobleness rendering peace deep inside
Her unbridled beauty unmatched
Breathing life into the soulless;
With divine grace she entraps
The earth in her sublime beauty !
Bewitching eyes to waken a saint from a trance
wielded at will to control a man;
behold the eyes that pierce through
the strongest of minds – imagine one can.
Strong enough to cause a missing beat
of the heart so calm and brave;
behold the eyes that can cause a flutter
of even inside the realms of the grave.
Language of the sight so subtly expressed
yet easily understood by any;
each expression making clear the pain
so carefully hidden yet bearing testimony.
Behold the bewitching eyes that reveal a story untold
of a touching yet painful past;
each glimpse revealing inner strength
that endured life of a woman so chaste.
Looked at a sweet beautiful rose,
And then I looked at you,
And I kept looking at you,
For the rose isn’t as beautiful as you.
