‘Twas then this land of ours we drew
From centuries of ice and sorrow,
And let it of the sun’s warmth borrow,
And law and plow brought order new;
We dug the wealth in mountain treasured,
Our stately ships the oceans measured,
And springtime thoughts were free to run
As round the Pole the midnight sun.

And still with God we’ll conquer, hold:
Each plot reclaimed for harvest-reaping,
Each ship our sea takes to its keeping,
Each child-soul we to manhood mold,
Each spark of thought our life illuming,
Each deed to fruit of increase blooming,–
A province adds unto our land
And o’er our freedom guard shall stand.

Children Who Die Do Not Die

Children who die are not really gone,
But go to a place that is something like home,
Where they sleep the deep sleep, as quiet as stone,
Until we can join them when our lives are done.

Children who die are not really dead,
But just like good children tucked into bed,
Wait the long wait while we go ahead
Till our tales are all told and our tears are all shed.
Children who die feel no pleasure or pain
In the place where they wait till they see us again,
And all of us dance in a world washed with rain
Where the sun shines so brightly no sorrows remain

Utho Bharat Vaasiyo

ae mere watan ke logo,
zara utho sambhlo, jago.,
dekho-dekho ye rajnetik neta,
kahan le chale tumhare desh ko.
ab bhi waqt hai, cheen lo inke hathon se,
apne desh ko,
pata nahi kis khaee main
fenkenge legakar isko.
bahut kurbaniyo se jiti,
hamne ye azadi ki jang
aaj ki ye rajniti,
pata nahi kya layegi rang.
yadi chahte ho rehna azad,
to utho, sambhalo apne desh ko
mar kar in dhokhebaaz netaon ko dhakka
jet lo rajniti ki jang.
aur bolo unki jaikar
jinhone lekar di tumhe ye azadi ahirkaar.
khel ke khoon ki holi,
thama di tumhe desh ki doli.
aao milkar sab yatan kare
HINDUSTAN hamara azad rahe, khushaal rahe,
abad rahe saugaat rahe ,
duniya ke sar ka taj rahe,

Stop telling me lies
Stop fluttering your eyes
Before I make you cry

Stop holding me down
Stop pulling my hand
Before I tell on you

Don’t you know that
You’re just a fool for me
I should have told you
You weren’t good ‘nough for me.

But times I thought we
We could make it
I was blind
I was a dreamer
But that was then
And this is now

Stop calling my name
Stop professing your love
I’d like to think you cruel

Stop whispering
Sweet words in the air
They don’t mean a thing

Stop calling my friends
Stop blowing my phone
I’ll just like rid of you

Stop with the gifts
Stop your kisses sweet
Coz I’ll like to forget your taste

Stop speaking
Don’t even breathe
Because you affect me so

Stop pretending to exist
Try to make it up
To life for being here

(spoken words)

Start living again
Try to forget my name
Because I’ll soon forget yours.

A place where people are free whether they are black, white or yellow
and no one says “Hey look at that strange fellow”!
A place where Mom and Dad stay home at night
And children never see their parents fight
A place where people care about each other
And everyone is treated like a brother
A place where everyone has enough to eat
with enough left over for an occasional treat
A place where the tiniest have the right to be born
And the elderly don’t feel rejected and forlorn
A place where laughter can be heard
and people still believe God’s word
A place where people still pray each day
And try their best to go the right way

I can see this place
only in my dreams

Let’s all work together to make this world a better place to live.

Women’s in my life

‘Women’s in my life’

I was born,
a woman was there to hold me………. my mother

I grew as a child……
a woman was there to care for me, to play with me…………my sister

I went to school…..
a woman was there to help me learn……. ….my teacher

I became depress, whenever I lost
a woman was there to offer a shoulder ………… my wife

I became tough……
a woman was there to melt me………. ..my daughter

I am dying
a woman is there to absorb me in………. …my motherland.
